Kuwait Agriculture Company (KAC) was established in 1968 as a privately owned company. With over four decades of experience, KAC is today one of the largest leading importers and distributors of quality consumer products (food and non- food) in Kuwait.

We have a dedicated sales force divisions for each trade channel, modern warehouse facilities and a large fleet of delivery vehicles.

Kuwait Agriculture Company opened its doors to the world in 1968. As a poultry producer, KAC was on its way to the pinnacle of success. Soon after, KAC launched its first restaurant, Zahrat Al Madaen, which proved to be a very profitable venture. Bolstered with the popularity of Zahrat Al Madaen, the company expanded its operations to importing food and eventually established itself as an exclusive distributor of internationally famous brands in Kuwait.

The mid-nineties saw a period of careful restructuring and construction. A specialized sales department was formed, and the company owned its own cold and dry facilities. This strategy has been instrumental in shaping KAC into the KD 50 million enterprise it is today.

Chairman’s Message

Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown. The adage has always proven true when it comes to business. An astute businessman must appraise not only the current tendencies of the market, but also be able to predict future trends. Dealing in the business of foods has always been a risky venture, largely due to the short shelf life of perishable foods. Throughout our 40 year history, KAC has always stood up to competition and emerged victorious. Thorough market evaluations and daily inputs into the management information systems give us an edge when formulating and strategizing market plans.

Despite this precarious environment, Kuwait Agriculture Company (KAC) has successfully surmounted all obstacles through its 40 year history, maintaining a record of consistent expansion and managing to become one of the leading food, food related and consumer products distributors in the country.

I take great pride in the significant pace of progress that KAC has managed to maintain. Our rapport with our suppliers has enabled us to enjoy a yearly increase in the market share of our products. KAC has actively made its presence felt in the community across sectors including supermarkets and co-op societies, wholesale markets, restaurants, hotels and private residences.

With the increasing demands of a globalized economy and savvy consumers, KAC endeavors to introduce new gourmet foods and in-house facilities to keep pace with international trends. Here’s to new beginnings!

The 600-strong work force is the biggest asset of the organization. The dedication of the KAC team has always been a vital part of the continued success of the company. Continued training and development of human resources over the years has ensured that we have always stayed one step ahead of the competition. Kuwait Agriculture Company is a professionally managed company with a flat organizational structure. This makes the management team approachable, allowing customers immediate contact with them.

Sales Team

With over 200 combined employees, the sales team is the pride and joy of Kuwait Agriculture Company. Five Sales Managers head the sales department, each functioning independently of the other yet working as a cohesive unit. Every department head is responsible and has the full authority for decision making in day-to-day business matters. The managers share over 25 years of combined experience, making them experts in the FMCG business, Trade channels.

Each team is organized on the basis of the trade channels which they serve. This coordinated structure is followed by a synchronized execution of the sales strategy. Our expertise in the sales and merchandising field garner maximum visibility and optimum distribution.

Our commitment is reflected in the day and night delivery service we provide, making sure all our shelves and refrigerated sections are fully stocked. We maintain a constant flow of information between buyers, store managers, and our sales and merchandising teams.

Since 1970, KAC has held up its reputation in the market, founded on a secure financial base. Our turnover figures have been on the rise since 1986, resulting in a substantial earnings increase.

Our business partners throughout the globe benefit from an international banking system that is both fast and efficient. Bank transactions are done through well reputed banks like The National Bank Of Kuwait, National Bank Of Abu Dhabi and Gulf Bank. Corresponding banks in USA and Europe provide speedy transactions. This has provided us with an enviable standing with financial institutions and won the admiration and respect of our suppliers. KAC’s annual turnover runs to the tune of USD 180 million from FMCG foods, non-food items, retail, HORECA and exports.

Distribution Network

Fleet

Maintaining the competitive edge in an aggressive market means being on your toes at all times. KAC’s distribution network is adequately equipped to meet the needs of all our wholesale and retail customers. A fleet of over 110 vehicles with 174 tons capacity operating from our cold and dry store facilities aids us in covering the total available market.

Warehousing

We have fully-equipped warehousing facilities with over 15,000 cubic meters for frozen products in five locations. We supply to Retail, Horeca and Wholesale covering Supermarkets (Co-ops. Coop branches), & Key accounts/Hypermarkets - 360 outlets, Groceries – 2000 outlets & Restaurants - 282 outlets

Marketing Activities

Many of the brands represented by KAC are brand leaders in their respective categories. An aggressive and dedicated marketing calendar ensures brand development and increasing market share. Various in store and above the line promotional activities are implemented with set targets. Customized promotional calendars with key accounts and co-ops are implemented successfully. All the year round KAC participates in food exhibitions and festivals with its complete portfolio of brands with lot of enthusiasm and successful results.
